Strawberry e-liquid, our top 6 French-made recipes
Search for "strawberry" on any vape shop and you get dozens of bottles with no way to tell them apart. Listings repeat "juicy strawberry" or "ripe strawberry" from one brand to the next, and published rankings lump together 10 ml bottles, shortfills and dessert recipes. To pick a strawberry e-liquid, you first need to know which strawberry you are after, then read what the maker's own page says about the base, the bottle and the nicotine.
Which strawberry e-liquid should you try first?
Our first pick is Fraise Gariguette by Nhoss, a 50/50 strawberry e-liquid that blends garden strawberry and wild strawberry flavourings. It comes in 10 ml and 50 ml, and carries the Origine France Garantie label.
For a very ripe fruit, the Fraise from Vincent, made by VDLV, goes further into the strawberry. Prefer a cooling finish? Vap'n Puff Fraise Ice adds a clear fresh effect. Liquideo Custard Fraise leaves pure fruit behind for a custard dessert.
Our shortlist at a glance
The table brings together the six recipes we kept, based on their makers' product pages as read in early October 2026. The style column is our reading of the published description.
| Recipe | Maker | Style | Base | Sizes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Fraise Gariguette | Nhoss | Garden and wild strawberry | 50/50 | 10 ml and 50 ml |
| Fraise | Vincent (VDLV) | Very ripe strawberry | Depends on size | 10 ml, 50 ml, nic salt |
| Fraise | Savourea | Strawberry alone, no sucralose | 50/50 | 50 ml |
| Natural Fraise | Curieux | Strawberry on a Végétol base | Végétol and VG 50/50 | 50 ml |
| Fraise Ice | Vap'n Puff | Cool strawberry | 50/50 plant-based | 50 ml |
| Custard Fraise | Liquideo | Custard and strawberry | 50/50 | 10 ml and 50 ml |
Five of the six recipes split the base evenly between glycol and glycerine. The real choice therefore comes down to flavour style and to what the base is made of.
Our top 6 strawberry e-liquids by style
Each recipe answers a different need. We ranked them on three written criteria, how faithful to the fruit the maker claims to be, how complete the product page is and how flexible the sizes are.
Nhoss Fraise Gariguette, the best all-rounder
Nhoss describes Fraise Gariguette as a blend of strawberry and wild strawberry flavourings. On paper, the pairing aims for a fruit that is both rounded and fragrant, with no second fruit to cover it.
The 50 ml shortfill comes in a 70 ml bottle and can be vaped nicotine-free, or at 3 and 6 mg/ml with one or two nic shots. Nhoss says it has held the Origine France Garantie label since 2014.
Vincent Fraise, the ripest
VDLV presents its Fraise as a copy of a fully ripe Cléry strawberry, a variety grown in France. The descriptors on its page, cooked fruit, floral, ripe fruit and sweet, place the recipe firmly among late-season strawberries.
The recipe comes as a nicotine 10 ml, a 50 ml shortfill and a nic salt version. VDLV says it makes its e-liquids and its nicotine at its own laboratory in Gironde, in south-west France.
Savourea Fraise, the strawberry without sucralose
Savourea lists three claims on its Fraise, no sucralose, no colouring and no additives. For anyone who would rather avoid that sweetener, this is the most direct option in the shortlist.
The base is 50/50, sold as a nicotine-free 50 ml to be topped up with a nic shot. The page states that it is made in France.
Curieux Natural Fraise, the base without propylene glycol
The Natural edition from Curieux swaps propylene glycol for Végétol, a plant-derived substitute. Natural Fraise is therefore 50 per cent Végétol and 50 per cent vegetable glycerine, the only case in this shortlist.
The bottle holds 50 ml and leaves at least 10 ml of free space. The maker says it works with any type of device.
Vap'n Puff Fraise Ice, the cool strawberry
Fraise Ice is described as a sweet and fresh flavour. It is made by Rue du Vapotage, whose product page refers to the Bio Concept factory in Niort.
Its base is entirely plant-based, with plant propylene glycol and vegetable glycerine in equal parts. The 50 ml, supplied in a 70 ml bottle, reaches 3 or 6 mg/ml with one or two nic shots.
Liquideo Custard Fraise, the dessert strawberry
Liquideo files Custard Fraise in its Tentation range, describing it as smooth custard cream with juicy strawberries. It is no longer a pure fruit but a dessert flavour in which the strawberry stays easy to pick out.
The recipe comes as a nicotine 10 ml and as a 50 ml shortfill. Liquideo recommends it for pods, mouth-to-lung tanks and some restricted direct-to-lung tanks.
The real strength of a strawberry e-liquid shortfill
Four recipes in the top six are sold as 50 ml with no nicotine. In the UK, as in the EU, nicotine e-liquid is capped at 20 mg/ml and sold in bottles of no more than 10 ml, which is why shortfills rely on nic shots.
The sum is easy to check. A 10 ml nic shot at 20 mg/ml brings 200 mg of nicotine into 60 ml, or about 3.3 mg/ml. With two shots, 400 mg spread over 70 ml gives about 5.7 mg/ml. The "6 mg" quoted on product pages is a rounded figure, and the bottle must be able to hold 70 ml.
Adding a shot also dilutes the flavour. A recipe that tastes right at 0 mg will be slightly quieter once boosted, worth bearing in mind with a fruit-only recipe.
Read the label before you buy
The pages of two recipes in the top six carry the H317 statement, "may cause an allergic skin reaction". Curieux links it to a furanone, a family of molecules used, among other things, for strawberry and caramel notes, and Savourea to methylcyclopentenolone, a molecule with caramel notes.
This statement is part of mandatory labelling and says nothing about the taste. It is mainly a reminder to handle e-liquid without spilling it on your fingers, especially when pouring in a nic shot.
On the hardware side, UK refillable tanks are limited to 2 ml. An adjustable box such as the ones in our Aspire mod guide lets you set the power so a delicate strawberry does not taste cooked. On a pod mod like the Vaporesso Armour GS, whose supplied coils call for a mostly vegetable glycerine liquid, check the base before choosing your strawberry.
FAQ
Five questions that come up before buying a strawberry flavour, beyond the ranking itself.
Does a nic salt strawberry taste different? The flavour is the same recipe, but nicotine salt feels smoother on the throat at the same strength. VDLV offers its Fraise in this version, as a 10 ml.
What is Végétol? It is a plant-based substitute for propylene glycol, used in the Natural edition from Curieux. It plays the same role of carrying the flavour and is paired with vegetable glycerine in the base.
Why does an iced strawberry taste less fruity? The cooling agent takes up part of the sensation and leaves less room for the fruit. The stronger the announced effect, the further the strawberry moves into the background.
Can you mix two strawberry e-liquids? Yes, if both bottles are nicotine-free or if you work out the final strength again. Mixing a 50/50 base with a Végétol base is also possible, the final ratio simply shifts.
Does a strawberry e-liquid suit a pod? That depends on the base more than the fruit. Liquideo recommends its Custard Fraise for pods and mouth-to-lung tanks, and Curieux says its Natural Fraise works with any type of device. The pod's own page tells you which ratio it accepts.
The best strawberry e-liquid for each vaper
For a first strawberry, Fraise Gariguette by Nhoss remains the most versatile choice in this shortlist, with its blend of two strawberries, its 50/50 base and its two sizes. Vincent Fraise suits those who like a very ripe fruit, Savourea those who avoid sucralose, and Curieux Natural Fraise those who want a base without propylene glycol.
Fraise Ice and Custard Fraise round off the top six for fans of a cool finish or a dessert profile. Whatever you choose, read the base and the bottle size before the fruit name, then redo the nic shot sum. That is the surest way to pick a strawberry e-liquid, and any fruit e-liquid more broadly.
